Privacy Policy

Who we are

Our website address is: www.APrIGF.asia. This website may also be viewed under its alias domain names: www.rIGF.asia, ap.rigf.asia. In this policy, we are referred to simply as (the) APrIGF.

Website Visitors

Like most website operators, the APrIGF collects non-personally-identifying information of the sort that web browsers and servers typically make available, such as the browser type, language preference, referring site, and the date and time of each visitor request. The APrIGF’s purpose in collecting non-personally identifying information is to better understand how the APrIGF’s visitors use its website.

The APrIGF also collects potentially personally-identifying information like Internet Protocol (IP) addresses for logged in users and for users leaving comments on its APRIGF DOCUMENT PLATFORM website (https://comment.rigf.asia). The APrIGF only discloses logged in user and commenter IP addresses under the same circumstances that it uses and discloses personally-identifying information as described below, except that commenter IP addresses and email addresses are visible and disclosed to the administrators of the blog where the comment was left.

What personal data we collect and why we collect it

Certain visitors to the APrIGF’s websites choose to interact with the APrIGF in ways that require the APrIGF to gather personally-identifying information. The amount and type of information that the APrIGF gathers depends on the nature of the interaction. For example, we ask visitors who comment at the APRIGF DOCUMENT PLATFORM website (https://comment.rigf.asia) to provide a name and email address. In each case, the APrIGF collects such information only insofar as is necessary or appropriate to fulfill the purpose of the visitor’s interaction with the APrIGF. The APrIGF does not disclose personally-identifying information other than as described below. And visitors can always refuse to supply personally-identifying information, with the caveat that it may prevent them from engaging in certain website-related activities.

Comments

When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

Media

If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

How long we retain your data
